Water Committee -- Sign up here
Band members get very THIRSTY!! To help with this, the ‘Water Committee’ consists of volunteers who fill water jug before practice. These volunteers show up before school is out on practice days, set up table and fill large orange jug with ice water. Before Inspection, every band member arrives at the tables to fill their bottle. At out of town competitions, this group loads the orange water jugs on the buses. An added benefit is that you are able to see the kids hard at work.
Equipment Committee -- Sign up here
The Marching Band is in need of equipment helpers. Helpers are needed for loading and unloading the equipment, transportation of the equipment, and setting up equipment at events and activities. Helpers are also needed for the planning, design, and construction of props.
For each competition, 15-20 individuals are needed to help with equipment. Adult family members (teens can also help) are needed to help with moving equipment on and off the field during competitions.
Band Competition Helpers
We are in desperate need of Dads, Moms, older siblings, aunts/uncles or anyone who can help with the following items at each competition:
- Move equipment and backdrops to the staging area, reporting area and on/off the field
- Assist with uniforms/plumes
- Assist with hair/makeup
- Help setup / serve food for band students
